FAA & Korean Aviation Medical Examination
Magok Sky Internal Medicine Clinic is an aviation medical practice in Seoul, Korea. Our director is a designated Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) for both the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration and the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

Both exams in one visit
You can complete your FAA medical certificate and your Korean aviation medical examination in a single visit. One examination covers both certification processes, so it takes about one hour — the same as taking only one of them. The online pre-registration site and the required documents are different for each exam, so please tell us when you book that you want both exams in one visit.

Please fast for 8 hours. This includes water, chewing gum and snacks.
Booking
Aviation medical examinations are by appointment. Please contact us by phone or email. Examinations are available at any time during opening hours, with no restriction on the day or time of the week. A same-day appointment is also possible if you have fasted and your documents are ready — please call us first. Your results and certificate are issued on the same day.

Where can I get an FAA medical exam in Seoul, Korea?
At Magok Sky Internal Medicine Clinic in Gangseo-gu, Seoul. Our director is an FAA-designated Aviation Medical Examiner and performs Class 1, 2 and 3 examinations.
What should I bring to an FAA medical exam?
Bring your passport or national ID and your glasses or contact lenses. For an FAA exam, complete FAA MedXPress (medxpress.faa.gov) beforehand and bring your confirmation number; esky.go.kr is for the Korean exam only. An 8-hour fast is required.
What should I bring to the Korean aviation medical examination?
Before your visit, create an account at esky.go.kr, complete the online medical examination application, and bring the application number issued there. Also bring your passport or national ID and your glasses or contact lenses, and fast for 8 hours. The Korean Class 1 examination requires corrected visual acuity of 1.0 or better (20/20) in each eye, so glasses or contact lenses are fine.
Can I take the FAA and Korean exams together?
Yes. One examination covers both certification processes, so it still takes about one hour. The online pre-registration site and the required documents differ between the two, so please tell us when you book that you want both exams in one visit — otherwise we may not be able to complete the Korean exam on the day.
How long does the examination take?
About one hour. Your results and your medical certificate are issued on the same day.
Is a urine test included?
A urine test is part of the examination.
When do I get my results and certificate?
Your results and your medical certificate are issued on the same day as your visit.
What happens if something is found during the examination?
If a finding requires follow-up, additional testing is performed on the same day. Our director spent 15 years as an aviation medical examiner at Korean Air and provides a detailed consultation on your results.
Can I have an aviation medical examination if I am not a pilot?
Yes. We also perform aviation medical examinations for air traffic controllers and cabin crew.
